Darigold products are unique because our more than 400 dairy farmers are also our owners. Since 1918, our producers have taken pride in producing dairy products with unsurpassed quality. Today we are one of the nation's largest agricultural cooperatives, producing the equivalent of two million gallons every day - that's seven billion pounds of milk every year.

Darigold produces a full line of dairy-based and other products for wholesale, retail, grocery and foodservice customers. We also produce butter, cheese, milk powder and whey products for institutions, food brokers and food processing companies.

Darigold is committed to providing our customers with value-added food ingredient solutions. That's why our cheese, butter, whey and milk powder products are in great demand throughout the world. Our ingredients customers range from small independent food processors to very large multi-national food companies with household names.

Darigold's nonfat and skim milk powders are used in high quality infant formulas, cottage cheese, yogurt, ice cream, fluid milk, baked goods and confectionary items. Our milk protein concentrates are used in infant formulas, nutritional products and processed cheese and yogurts. We also manufacture high quality whey powder and whey protein fractions - a market growing in demand for their use as diet supplements by many health and fitness-oriented consumers.

Darigold offers the latest in dairy processing technologies, which allows our manufacturing facilities to run at very high utilization rates. We invest in comprehensive maintenance and capital upgrades to ensure our plants are efficient, modern and dependable.

We operate the largest butter churn in the United States - producing over 28,000 lbs. of butter per hour - and more than 10 percent of the country's butter is Darigold. We also operate one of the largest powder plants and one of the largest cheese plants in the United States. Our Sunnyside, Washington, facility manufactures 150 million pounds of cheese annually, and ten 40-foot trailer loads of cheese leave it's dock every day, 365 days a year.
