Preheat oven to 400°F. In a medium bowl, cream the butter. Blend in prosciutto, Parmesan cheese, garlic, basil and pine nuts. Spread baguette slices with the butter mixture. Place baguettes on a medium baking sheet. Bake about 8 to 10 minutes, or until bottom of bread is browned. Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving. Arrange on a large serving platter.
Makes 12 servings.
I’ve used this recipe for years and it never fails to bring cheers from my family. Used on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
